If you would wish to be associated more closely with the locomotive, usually bearing the British Railways number 60007 resplendent in BR blue livery, the Trust always welcomes new members. We publish a magazine for members four times a year, with news of the loco and plenty of photographs; articles, too, about the loco's past, and other matters of railway interest, and additionally we have a number of promotional goods the sale of which allcontributes towards the maintenance of our splendid locomotive. In addition to our AGM a number of social events occur from time to time and are advertised in our magazine Chime. Whether you wish to get involved a lot or a little, your support will be welcome.

We regret that it is necessary to charge overseas members a higher membership fee due to the increased postal costs involved.

Gift Aid

If you pay tax Gift Aid is a scheme by which you can give a sum of money to charity and the charity can reclaim from the Inland Revenue basic rate tax on your gift. This increases the value of the gift you make to the charity. Membership subscriptions can also be paid to a charity through Gift Aid. If you are a higher rate tax payer you can claim relief on the difference between the basic rate and the higher rate of tax.

Please do consider helping the Trust in this way - you may complete a Gift Aid form online here, or a declaration form may be downloaded from here.
