The Trust publishes the quarterly magazine, Chime, for members. This started as a newsletter in the 1960s and today features the latest news of our locomotive along with technical articles, features, pictures, railtour reports and members' correspondence.
In addition to Melvin Haigh's excellent series of articles on boilers, tenders and A4 names Chime has featured articles on:
Chime welcomes articles for publication connected with Sir Nigel Gresley, LNER, etc. Articles may be handwritten or electronic. We also welcome photographs old and new. If you require the photographs to be returned please indicate in a covering letter. It is helpful if you could mark the photos on the reverse with your name and details (e.g. date, location etc.) We also welcome electronic photos of recent events, LNER engines on the mainline etc.
Articles may be submitted by non-members, who will receive a complementary copy of the magazine if the article is published.
