The "007 Gang" of the Junior Volunteers Scheme provides volunteering opportunities for young members, aged 13 to 16 (see note below) who are keen to learn more about the operation of Sir Nigel Gresley. The scheme is focused on introducing young volunteers to the engineering and leadership skills necessary to maintain our locomotive in the 21st century and beyond. Work is often dirty and tiring but also rewarding and enjoyable.
Due to Sir Nigel Gresley leaving the NRM at York to complete its overhaul at Crewe we regret that the "007 Gang" is currently suspended.
Further details will be posted here when the 007gang returns.
